The Society is, this week, communicating to all eligible Members the Annual General Meeting (AGM) documentation. This mailing was prepared and scheduled some time ago. We are aware that the recent unprecedented Coronavirus events have overtaken the timing and scheduling of the mailing.

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak, the venue where we were due to host our AGM is closed until further notice. The Society is following advice from the government and the Public Health Agency. We are therefore now planning to hold the AGM behind closed doors on Tuesday 28th April 2020 at our Head Office meaning that Members, unfortunately, will not be able to physically attend.

The health and safety of our staff and Members is our main priority, and we will provide regular and timely updates on this evolving situation on the website as appropriate.

We are currently arranging for a virtual AGM to take place online where Members will be able to listen to speeches from the Chair and Chief Executive.

This will be available via our website or social media, and we will provide updates on our website over the coming weeks.

The Annual Report will be available on our website and in branches as usual - please bear in mind our branches are currently open from 9am-12pm Monday to Friday - and the full AGM results will be available on our website as usual after 28th April 2020.

We would request that Members who wish to ask questions, in relation to the matters to be dealt with at the meeting, submit these in advance via e-mail to headoffice@theprogressive.com to ensure these questions can be addressed in the Meeting.

We would like to encourage Members to have their say and details on voting are outlined in the Voting Guide, which you will receive via post or email on or before 30th March 2020. You will now be unable to vote by attending the AGM, but can still use one of the other methods:
