Opening an Account using a cheque:
If you wish to open an account with the Society using a cheque, do not make the cheque payable simply to the Society.  Add further details, such as the name of the person to whom the money is being paid, in the payee line (e.g. Progressive Building Society, Re: John Smith).

Identification:
If you are an existing member and we have current (recent) identity and address verification on file it is likely that we will need no further proof of identity.

If you are not an existing member or your personal details have changed we are required, by law, to verify your identity and address.

Please ensure you read and understand the
Identification Requirements before visiting a branch or agency to open an account with Progressive.
